Three Triple Crown runners are expected to enter this Saturday’s Grade 3 $600,000 Colonial Cup at Colonial Downs. The Colonial Cup is part of a four race series.
The second stage is the July 19th Grade 2 Virginia Derby also at Colonial Downs, the third stage is the Grade 2 Secretariat Stakes at Arlington Park on August 9th, and the series is completed on Breeder’s Cup Day, which is scheduled this year for October 25th at Santa Anita (Oak Tree).
ADRIANO, COURT VISION and KENTUCKY BEAR are the three classic runners expected to contest the Colonial Cup. They are expected to be joined by EL SULTRY SUN, YOUR ROUND, SPORTING ART, BALTIMORE BOB, NISTLE’s CRUNCH, BOSS LAFITTE and SAILER’s CAP.
I’ll be tracking the race throughout the week.

WELL? It’s almost Friday – I thought for a second about posting “look at Baltimore Bob, ridden by Karamanos.” But that horse has a lot of slowness going for it.
